The purpose of Hope City Worship™ is to pursue the heart of Jesus by cultivating true worshipers who express their love for the Lord on and off the platform and use their gifts and talents to prepare the atmosphere for people to encounter God’s presence. Our worship team is made up of the Hope City Worship™ staff and Dream Team volunteers who use their musical gifts to facilitate worship unto God in our weekend services, all Hope City events, and around the globe.
Our Process involves 3 simple steps.
1. Audition: Submit an online worship team application including a video demonstrating your vocals or instrumentation. Those that demonstrate the necessary skills to serve will be invited to a live audition with the Worship Development Team.
2. Activate: This 5 to 8-week program includes a weekly focus point for training and concludes with a Commissioning Ceremony before serving at a designated HOPE CITY campus.
3. Platform: The active worship team members are discipled by the Worship and Music Directors at their designated campus and scheduled on a rotating basis depending on availability and need.
What are you looking for in a vocalist or musician?
Our team is looking for servant hearted worshipers who Love God, Love People, Pursue Excellence, and Choose Joy. Both musicians and vocalists should display the high energy and dynamic worship culture of Hope City. Our vocalists are expected to hear, find, and maintain harmony parts. Our musicians are expected to learn and execute their part on their instrument.
When will I hear back about my submitted application?
You should receive an immediate confirmation message upon submitting your application. Batches of applications are reviewed together in the Spring and Fall of each year.
When will I hear back about my live audition?
You should receive a communication with the results of your live audition within two (2) weeks.
When does the team rehearse?
Due to the portable nature of our church, we do not rehearse separately from serve days. Worship team members are scheduled in advance and given access to the set flow and part tracks through Planning Center Online (PCO). Team members are expected to arrive for their scheduled serve date and call time prepared to execute their role.
